For convenient sake I used store-bought buns, bratwursts and fries. Maybe someday I’ll tackle them individually. Yes I’ve learned to pick my battles :D

You’ll get:

4 chili dogs and fries

You need:

  • 1 tbsp of neutral oil
  • 250g of ground beef
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of pasta sauce (I used Barilla Zucchine)
  • 1 tbsp of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheese (I used mozzarella & cheddar mix)
  • 1 cube of Japanese curry
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 baby carrots, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • salt, ground pepper to taste
  • 4 store-bought bratwurst
  • 4 store-bought hotdog buns
  • A pack of frozen shoestring fries

Your equipment:

  • A sauce pan
  • A wooden spatula
  • A potato masher
  • A bread knife

Time to make:

3min preparation. 25min cooking time

To make:

  1. Heat up 1 tbsp oil in sauce pan over medium heat
  2. Add ground beef to sauce pan and break it up with a potato masher
  3. Let beef brown for 2–3mins over medium heat
  4. Add water and onion
  5. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to boil
  6. Bring heat down to simmer. Lid on.
  7. Add shredded cheese and give it a stir
  8. Simmer for about 20min until sauce thickens
  9. Season to taste
  10. Spoon chili over pan-seared bratwurst in buns and air-fried fries
